Almost Holiday Time!

This entry is purely for my records (and so Mum and Dad can keep   track of us while we’re away!). I’ve finally confirmed everything, but our travel itinerary is scribbled on a scrap of paper, and if I lose that piece of paper, we’re stuffed because I won’t remember what I’ve organised! o

Thursday 10 July 2008
- 1.45pm sailing – Picton to Wellington
- Accommodation – Quality Hotel Wellington, 223 Cuba Street http://www.choicehotels.com.au/hotel…
- Hopefully we’ll have time to take the kids to Te Papa and up the Cable Car that evening (yay for Thursday late opening hours at Te Papa!).

Friday 11 July 2008
- Wellington to Taupo
- Accommodation – 34c Scannell Street, Taupo (Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights)
http://www.taupoholidayhomes.co.nz/p…

Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July 2008
- Ironman Training Camp
http://www.endurancecoach.com/News_&…

Monday 14 July 2008
- Taupo to Rotorua
- Accommodation – Quality Hotel Geyserland, 424 Fenton Street
http://www.choicehotels.com.au/hotel…
- The hotel is right on the edge of Whakarewarewa and our room has a view of the Pohutu Geyser! Also want to see the Buried Village and Rainbow Springs again.

Tuesday 15 July 2008
- Rotorua
- Accommodation – transfer to the Rotorua Police holiday home (11 Ann Street)
- I might even be able to con Graham into taking me to Te Puke…doubt it!

Wednesday 16 July 2008
- Rotorua to Wellington
- Accommodation – Wellington Police holiday home (Unit 3, 259 The Terrace)
- Hopefully we’ll get into Wellington in time to do one of the last Parliament tours for the day. The kids were just littlies when we last went through, and in Election year, I want them to see where the powers-that-be hang out and how it all works.

Thursday 17 July 2008
- 9.00am sailing – Wellington to Picton (wave furiously to Bec), then home.

Friday 18 July 2008
- Ella’s birthday – mustn’t forget!

  1. Look at you with 37 hits already and you’re only just getting the dust off the furniture!
I was thinking about an earlier post on Bebo where you mentioned having to give a presentation to your work colleagues and describing your presentations.
    So how did it go?
I like the Ocean Mist theme. Didn’t use it cos Nadia had it at the time and never got around to changing mine. Looks like I’ll leave it a while.
Oh, love the tag line! Cor, who mentions undies so openly ;-)

  2. Pssst, can you add the RSS widget so that I can subscribe and get automatic notifications when you’ve added a new post? Cheers!

  3. You take me for a techno-geek Anita! I’ll have to investigate how to do that a little further!! ;)

  4. Easy peasy. Go to your Dashboard, then click on Design. Under the heading Current Theme you see “Options”. Click on the Widgets link. On the left hand side are the Available Widgets. You’ll have one there for RSS. It depends on the theme, but I think you’ll have a choice to add your own RSS theme. Or you can use a Text box and you enter your wordpress link into the body. And the text line would be something like “RSS my blog” or the like. This is mine, you’d just replace the fencepost with racheyachey

I reckon if you can bite the bullet and get your WordPress blog up and looking beautiful like you have, you’ll ace the RSS feed!

  5. ooops, it lost the link. I’ll email it to you and then you can make the necessary adjustments. My Theme doesn’t allow an RSS button direct to my blog but I made one by using the Test widget. Which is described in the FAQ’s.

  6. I so confused, why do you need to have the rss subscribe icon on your blog? All blogs have rss, just go to the little rss icon (in the url bar in firefox, toolbar in ie) , and it will take you to the rss feed.

  7. Oh and coolies Rachey on Coming over to word press… much pretty isn’t it :)

  8. Have a fantastic trip Rachel! By the way I love your title quote, how true.

  9. Your new home is lovely Rachel, so spacious and your artwork is stunning ;-)
I look forward to following your journey.

  10. Well I simply added the RSS widget. I hope there’s nothing else I need to do!!

  11. Arrgh, I didn’t even see it there Nadia. Right, I’m subscribed. In your original theme Nadia the RSS icon showed on the page. My original theme didn’t have it so I created one using a widget, I guess people like me hadn’t realised the RSS thingee was in the address bar ;-) .
Anyway Rachel, probably the RSS widget you’ve chosen is for showing feeds from somewhere else. If you look at mine, I’ve got feeds from Stuff showing on my right hand side. Anyway, I don’t see anything on your page for any RSS feed.
